HOW TO GET Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Pins on Day 1

To celebrate the occasion for the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary, there is a special reward for "My Nintendo" members in the US and Canada - a limited-edition Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary collectible pin set.
Given the hype surrounding the anniversary and for Super Mario 3D All-Stars - featuring Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy - you'd want to get yourself prepared to ensure that you don't miss out!
If you aren't a My Nintendo member already, be sure to register for an account at my.nintendo.com - it's free. You can obtain rewards in the form of "coins" that can be used to redeem for things like wallpapers, discounts on 3DS and Wii U games (do people still buy these?), in other words, mostly useless stuff. But this time, there's an item that will actually be worth your investment in time.
From my recollection, this is the first time they have had physical reward redemptions since switching to My Nintendo. The past rewards program, Club Nintendo was always loaded with physical rewards that were mailed to your home for free.
To get the first set of collectible Mario pins, you need to purchase a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars for the Nintendo Switch, and complete four Mario-themed missions on the supermario35.com website.
The "missions" are pretty straightforward, and mainly just involve navigating to the website and looking at the section it tells you to do. There are a total of five missions - 4 of the missions are web-based, and the 5th mission is a Mario Kart Tour challenge that starts on September 8th.
The web-based challenges are already open. Don't delay and get the Mario themed-missions RIGHT NOW so that you can get yourself a better chance at getting the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary pins on September 18th.
You can complete some of the My Nintendo missions right now!
Once you complete at least four missions, set a calendar reminder for September 18th. But if you are a die-hard Mario fan, you probably would be prepared already.
Once you collect the My Nintendo coins in your purchased copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, the "mission" for purchasing the game will be completed and you should be able to order the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary collectible pins from the My Nintendo website. This mission can only be completed on September 18th - the release date of Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
Given the word about potential scarcity of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and likely the bonus as well, it's best to get yourself prepared so you can acquire these special commemorative pins on Day 1. Good luck!
