The rumors of a Paper Mario game for the Nintendo Switch are true! Nintendo has just announced that Paper Mario: The Origami King will released for the Nintendo Switch on July 17. This is the first Paper Mario game since Paper Mario: Color Splash was released for the Wii U in 2016.
Check out the game's unveil trailer that was just released.

Mario's new 1000-fold arms ability in Paper Mario: The Origami King
Here are some highlights from the press release and trailer:
We are introduced to a new boss - King Olly of the Origami Kingdom who uses strips of origami paper to "fold up" and capture Princess Peach and her castle. King Olly even takes control of Bowser's minions!

Mario and Peach are then taken away by a Shy Guy in Bowser's flying Clown Car, and Bowser himself seems to be in a cube format, perhaps he got folded up and trapped by this Origami King? It's interesting that Mario is once again allied with Bowser like in Super Mario RPG for the SNES.
Mario has a new ability called 1000-Fold Arms which seems to give him really long arms like an accordion. There is a new ring-based battle system along with plenty of mini-games.

There should be plenty more of Paper Mario: The Origami King in the coming weeks and months.
