Nintendo Direct E3 2018 Summary
A little late, but this E3 2018 has now come and gone, and not surprisingly the biggest news of the convention for Nintendo was indeed Smash.
The release for the Nintendo Switch will be titled Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with a release date of December 7, 2018 - right in time for the holiday season this year.
In the 25 minute long reveal trailer, that took up most of the one hour E3 Nintendo Direct, the big highight is that every single character that has ever appeared in the Smash Bros series will indeed be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! GameCube controllers will also be supported, using the USB adapter that came with Smash on Wii U. The adapter has been quietly added to the Switch earlier on and currently is still functional.
The second biggest announcement the reveal Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch - this should be a great title to hit the Switch because of its portability and social aspect. Similar to Smash, it appears that many characters will also be playable including Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Dry Bones, Boo, Hammer Bros and more! There are 80 minigames and there will be an online mode included. Super Mario Party will be released in October 5, 2018.
Finally, the Yoshi title appears to have been quietly postponed until 2019, despite being announced for a 2018 release. This is surprising given that the game was playable last year.
