Super Mario Maker 2 coming to Switch in June 2019

In today's Nintendo Direct, leading off was the announcement of Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch. It is billed as a sequel and will have new additions such as slopes, which is not in the original Wii U version - something that Mario fans really wanted!
There will also be Super Mario 3D World (from the Wii U) elements such as the Cat Mario Power up, clear pipes, Piranha Creepers and more!

Just from first glance, it looks like it closely resembles the original Super Mario Maker with extras. There will also be some change in the interaction as a docked Switch doesn't have a touch screen.
No word on backwards compatibility for Wii U Mario Maker stages, but given the similarities and the large existing community, it should be a no-brainer to have.
